RSVP is a volunteer placement program for people
age 55 or older, who are interested in contributing their time and
effort to help meet the needs of the community. RSVP matches the personal
interests, skills and lifelong experiences of retired and senior persons
to volunteer service assignments. RSVP maintains listings of volunteer
opportunities at non-profit organizations, schools, governmental agencies
and/or proprietary health care agencies called Volunteer Stations,
throughout Snohomish County. There may be a volunteer site within
blocks of your home. Volunteer hours are documented locally and reported
nationally through the National Senior Service Corp.
Who you can help
RSVP volunteers have the choice to help senior citizens, adults,
teenagers, youth, infants or toddlers. Families, homeless persons,
persons with disabilities or minority groups may be among those
for whom you choose to volunteer.
