The Congregate Nutrition Program serves hot, nutritious meals for older adults at various sites around Snohomish County. In addition to a delicious meal, there are many opportunities for socialization which makes significant positive contributions to overall health.
ELIGIBILITY
- Age 60 and older
- Spouse of any age living with an eligible person
- Disabled persons who reside at home with an eligible person
MEALS SERVED
Each meal is planned with the active older adult in mind. They meet one-third of the recommended daily allowances for nutrients and follow the Dietary Guidelines. Favorite comfort foods such as meatloaf or macaroni and cheese are accompanied by vegetables, freshly baked rolls, choice of milk, and dessert or fruit. A modified meal with controlled carbohydrate is available for persons with diabetes.

DONATIONS
The suggested donation is $2.00 per meal. Confidential donations may be made with cash, check, or food stamps. No person will be denied meals because of an inability to donate.
