Senior Services offers a variety of affordable rental housing options for qualified seniors age 55 and older. These apartment communities, conveniently located throughout Snohomish County, are designed to enhance independent living for active seniors as well as those who need supportive services.

• Our senior communities are financed by both public and private funding, making it possible for us to offer lower than market rent to qualified seniors.

•All of our communities are located close to shopping and services.

•On-site service coordinators help connect residents to social and health services through Housing Social Services.

Minor Home Repair

Homeownership is an important symbol of independence and is one of the most important assets an older person has. However, maintaining a safe home and healthy living environment can be especially difficult for older people with limited incomes.

For more than 30 years, Minor Home Repair has been assisting low-income senior and disabled homeowners by providing health and safety repairs that they cannot perform due to lack of funds and/or inability to physically perform the repairs themselves.

Repair services offered:
• Carpentry
• Plumbing
• Roof repair
• Limited weatherization
• Sewer repair
• Furnace/heating system repair
• Ramps/handrails
• Grab bars
• Door/window repair
• Minor electrical
• Minor chimney repair
• Security devices/locks
• Carbon monoxide detectors
• Smoke alarms

We’re Sorry we cannot offer these services:
• Yard work
• Remodeling
• Appliance repair
• Painting
• Furniture repair/moving
• Chore work
• Trash hauling
• Sewer/water connections
• Gutter cleaning

Who benefits from Minor Home Repair
• Low-income homeowners 62 years or older.
• Low-income disabled homeowners 18 years or older.
• Section 8 assisted renters who are disabled and need
modification to their residence for accessibility. (with owner permission)

What you need to qualify
Documentation of age, homeownership and income.
Minor Home Repair is funded by: City of Everett and Snohomish County through the Community Development Block Grant program; United Way of Snohomish County; donor giving; and client fees.

Priority 1 (No charge for labor and materials, donations requested)
1 person household - max income $1,362/month
2 person household - max income $1,558/month
3 person household - max income $1,750/month

Priority 2 (No charge for labor, client pays for materials used, donations also requested)
1 person household - max income $2,270/month
2 person household - max income $2,595/month
3 person household - max income $2,920/month
