Affordable Housing for Seniors

Senior Services Housing Management offers attractive and affordable apartments. Senior Services, a nonprofit organization, operates 16 senior apartment buildings in conjunction with the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), for seniors 62 +, and the Washington State Housing Finance Commission (Low Income Housing Tax Credit Program), for seniors 55+.

 We design our apartments to build community.

The buildings are designed to encourage community gatherings. We have attractive community rooms for classes, holiday celebrations and personal family gatherings. “We have made wonderful friends here,” says John. “People are very willing to help each other if the need arises.” Mary, resident for ten years, says, “My friends and I enjoy the library with videos, tapes and books. We also like the computer room. I am so happy I can email my family members who reside all over the world. This way I feel connected.” Alice notes, “We enjoy sitting on the large patio in the back with the grassy lawn and community gardens.”

We design our apartments to ensure privacy.

Each apartment is self-contained with a modern kitchen, living room, bedroom and bathroom. “We have very quiet thoughtful neighbors,” says Agnes. “And it is a peaceful friendly neighborhood.”

We design our apartments with your comfort in mind.

All apartments have an interior entrance. Most building have lobby entry intercom systems. Visitors must pass through the main entrance with its attractive lobby. There is an on-site resident manager able to keep things running smoothly. Each apartment has a pull cord response system to call for help in an emergency. “We are never bothered by door-to-door sales people”, says Fred. “That’s a comfort.”
